Newark Liberty International Airport was impacted by a Federal Aviation Administration computer outage causing flight delays across the country.  
According to the FAA, there was a major outage with the system that provides critical flight safety information like flight hazards and real time restrictions to pilots.  
The FAA posted a tweet stating “The FAA is working to restore its Notice to Air Missions System. We are performing final validation checks and reloading the system now. Operations across the National Airspace System are affected. We will provide frequent updates as we make progress.”  
News 12's Lauren Due was in Newark Liberty Airport at Terminal B, where flights were resuming around 8:45 a.m.
“As long as the flight takes off today, I'm good. I won't complain,” said Tammy Thompson, a traveler from Georgia.
“I saw it on the news. There's always something going on, always something. What can you say?” said Linda Olup, a Florida resident traveling to buy a home in New Jersey.
