A Newburgh man is set to spend the next 48 months behind bars for smuggling immigrants.
Marlon Lainez-Velasquez, 48, pleaded guilty to traveling to the border and assisting five Vietnamese nationals from Canada and into the United States for profit in May 2021.
He's already serving time behind bars on an unrelated six-year state term for sex abuse.
