New Jersey Transit announced that its regular weekend schedule will resume Saturday morning following some service disruptions caused by extreme heat.
The agency experienced heat-related equipment issues earlier this week due to high temperatures around the state. This caused some rail services to be delayed, combined or outright canceled.

Temperatures around the state reached the upper-90s and even rose above 100 on some days this week.
NJ Transit says the normal weekend schedule will resume on Saturday. The regular weekday schedule will resume on Monday.
