Some 120 Nyack Hospital nurses took to the streets Tuesday to protest proposed cuts to their health care benefits.
More than 500 nurses at the private for-profit hospital have been working without a contract since December.
The New York State Nurses Association, which represents the Nyack Hospital nurses, says it attempted to begin negotiating a new contract last fall. However, NYSNA labor representative Tom Jennings says hospital officials have only offered to cut their members' benefits.
"We provide care for our community and we're only asking for the same care back for us," says nurse Carol Massaro.
Both sides are expected to restart negotiations Thursday.
