Thousands of people gathered at Ground Zero Saturday for a solemn ceremony to commemorate the 9th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.
Sobs of anguish and hugs of sympathy rippled through the site of the fallen towers, showing that the wounds from the attacks still have not healed.
Teary-eyed friends and family members read the names of the 2,977 people who perished that day.
Vice President Joe Biden met with victims' family members and Gov. David Paterson gave a speech before the crowd.
Moments of silence were observed to commemorate the exact times that the towers were hit and the times they both fell.
