News 12 has learned that more than 120 children from the Hudson Valley have had their immunization records voided because of a Long Island midwife.
Jeanette Breen, who operated Baldwin Midwifery in Nassau County, Long Island, is accused of falsifying the kids' vaccination records.
Police say she gave out more 12,000 doses of oral pellets as an alternative to vaccination.
These oral pellets are not approved by the Food and Drug Administration or the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
Breen vaccinated over 120 children from the Hudson Valley and 15 from the Bronx in the 2019-20 school year.
According to the New York State Department of Health, three students from Dutchess County were impacted along with 13 from Orange, two from Putnam, 62 from Rockland, three from Ulster and 39 from Westchester.
The kids now have to prove they got the proper vaccinations or are in the process of getting them before returning to school.
Breen has to pay a $300,000 penalty for administering the fake vaccines to more than 1,000 children across New York state.
In addition to the fine, Breen cannot administer any vaccine that has to be reported to the New York state immunization information system.
The health department deleted Breen's submissions and is notifying the parents of the children vaccinated that she vaccinated.
