Fire officials think an e-bike was the source of a fire that destroyed a Spring Valley barber shop.

The inside of Veloz Barbershop on North Main Street is heavily damaged from the front all the way to the back of the business.

Fire officials believe it is a total loss.

Rockland County Fire Coordinator Chris Kear said the e-bike was at the front of the business when a woman in the back of the store heard a loud popping noise.

The woman saw that the bike was on fire.

Everyone was able to get out through the back door.

No injuries were reported.

The fire department said they were able to knock down the fire in 10 minutes.

Officials did not know as of Thursday night whose bike it was and if it was charging or not.
