The 43-year-old Orange County man shot by a park ranger in New Jersey has died. Emil Mann, a Ramapo Mountain Indian, was critically injured during an altercation with park police in Ringwood State Park last week. According to officials, about two dozen members of the Ramapough Lenape Indian Tribe were having a cookout and illegally riding ATVs when fighting broke out. Mann's cousin was arrested and charged with assault for allegedly trying to attack two of the rangers. The park officer who fired the shots, 34-year-old Chad Walder, has been placed on paid suspension. The New Jersey Attorney General's office has launched an investigation into the shooting.
