A new monthly film festival called “Out There” is underway at the Jacob Burns Film Center in Pleasantville, spotlighting powerful stories that celebrate LGBTQ+ life around the world.
Chris Holliday, director of special programs, says the series features a wide range of films—old and new, narrative and documentary, international and local—showcasing diverse LGBTQ+ experiences.
Some screenings include Q&As or panel discussions to encourage conversation after the film.
The series is presented in partnership with The LOFT LGBTQ+ Community Center, with a new movie shown each month.
