The Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory in Palisades is set to receive $255,000 in additional funding.
"This new money will allow us to increase our performance, have better monitoring capabilities and to give the public and engineers more information about what might happen," says Art Learner-Lam, of the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory, which for 30 years has been monitoring ground motion in the Hudson Valley.
The funding is part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
