Pelham Manor police are alerting the community to a series of ATM thefts throughout the village.
The police chief has issued a notice to local businesses, emphasizing that ATMs were either removed with a hand-truck or carried away. In each instance, the suspects successfully took the machines because they were not properly secured to the floor.
To prevent such incidents at local businesses, the police advise ensuring that ATMs are securely bolted to the floor, are not placed near exits and are covered by security cameras.
Additionally, businesses are urged to be vigilant for any suspicious activity around ATMs and to promptly report it to local police.
