A day after Super Tuesday, the presidential picture is much clearer for the Republicans while the Democrats still have a very close race.
Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.) won some big states Tuesday night, but Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) won more primaries. The fight now continues between the two for the party nomination.
Clinton thanked supporters for handing her big state wins, including New York and California. However, Obama won 10 states overall, including Connecticut. In his speech, Obama reached out to those still unclear as to which Democrat should be the party?s nominee.
On the Republican side, front-runner Sen. John McCain took 51 percent of the vote. The Arizona senator is as close as ever to a political slam dunk for the Republican nomination. However, challengers Mitt Romney and Mike Huckabee say they are not throwing in the towel just yet.
