The race is on to find the top pizzeria in Connecticut.
Everyone seems to have a favorite spot.
"I say Frank Pepe’s," says Kathy Degrand, of Deep River.
"I say Luigi’s in Old Saybrook," says Trish O'Donnell.
The Pizza Capital Pizza Trail is asking people for the top 100 pizzerias in the state.
“Pizza is love, pizza is passion," CT marketing director Anthony Anthony says. "We’re not just marketing Connecticut pizza, we’re letting people be a part of it."
Voting opened on Pi Day, March 14 and runs until May 1.
World-renowned Frank Pepe's, on Wooster Street in New Haven, is celebrating its 100th anniversary this year.
"Right when you get out of the car in the parking lot, you can smell that coal fired oven cooking those fresh ingredients," VP of operations Kevin Gagliard says. "We keep ourselves humble by realizing we’re only as good as our last pizza."
People can vote once daily and select up to 10 restaurants.
If your favorite pizza spot isn't already on the list, you can write it in.
