Piermont police are planning to remove a car that went into the Hudson River next weekend.

The incident unfolded when police responded to damage to the Piermont Pier last Wednesday. Upon investigation, they discovered tire marks leading to the water and car parts.

Further examination, including video footage, revealed that a car had driven into the dock area, with the driver exiting before the vehicle continued into the Hudson River.

Although the car was located a day later, adverse weather conditions at the time prompted police to postpone its removal.

Authorities are still in search of the driver involved in the incident.
