Three people are facing charges after allegedly breaking into a New Fairfield home Wednesday, according to state police.
Just after 5 p.m., the New Fairfield resident trooper responded to a report of an active burglary on Lamont Road.
Police say that when they arrived, they located the suspects’ vehicle. It is unclear whether officers found multiple cars or a single vehicle used by the trio.
During the investigation, police say they developed probable cause to arrest Shona Rose Chase of Pawling, New York. She was charged with burglary, larceny and conspiracy to commit burglary. Chase is scheduled to appear in court on March 18.
At the same time, police learned that Jared Brown of New Milford had fled the scene on foot, leading officers on a short chase. He was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary, possession of burglar tools and interfering with an officer. Brown was scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
Police were later notified of a suspicious man in the area. That man, identified as Justin Walker of Pawling, New York, was found nearby. He was charged with conspiracy to commit burglary, possession of burglar tools and interfering with an officer. Police say Walker was unable to post bond and was taken to the Bridgeport Correctional Center. He was also expected to appear in court Thursday.
Police have not said what items were taken from the home.
