A Sullivan County man has been arrested in connection with the deadly stabbing of a Middletown teenager. Police say Tahir Atkins, 26, of Monticello, fatally stabbed James Parker, Jr., 19, on Linden Avenue last week. Atkins turned himself in last night. Police have not released an official motive, but the victim's mother tells News 12 a fight over money may have led to her son's death. A makeshift memorial has been put together on the sidewalk where the incident took place. Funeral services for Parker will be held Saturday at the North Congregational Church in Middletown.
