A boy was badly injured in a hit-and-run in Spring Valley, according to police.

Detectives say it happened on Jasinski and Union roads around 6:45 p.m.

News 12 has been told police they are interviewing a person of interest.

Officials say the child was taken to Westchester Medical Center with an injury to his head.
