Police in Port Chester are confident the streets will be safer after raiding a suspected drug house and arresting three people.
Police were investigating the dealings at a house on Sand Street for the past three months thanks to a tip. Police arrested 37-year-old Ruthie Bannister, 39-year-old Cecilia Argumendo and 43-year-old Mark Solomon on drug charges Friday. They also confiscated thousands of dollars worth of drugs. The police chief says he believes the arrests will have a direct impact on the sale of drugs in the neighborhood.
This was the third major drug arrest in the county in as many days. Earlier in the week, teenagers were arrested for growing marijuana on the Cross County Parkway. Also, two Bronx men were arrested in Yonkers after accepting a package of drugs that came via mail.
