Power restored to Port Chester businesses in aftermath of Ida

Power has now been restored to several businesses in Port Chester months after the remnants of Hurricane Ida impacted the Hudson Valley.
Con Edison has started working on 14 businesses in the area to repair utilities that were damaged from Ida.
Parts of North Main Street have been without electricity and heat since Sept. 1, which caused several businesses to shut down for more than three months and kept others from rebuilding after Ida.
News 12 uncovered Con Edison hadn't filed a work permit application with the state to open the road until earlier this month and it was resubmitted with additional information on Dec. 8.
Con Edison didn't say how long the job will take but said it was progressing as expected based on the size and scope of the work.
