"Whether you have been out for one day, or one minute or you're not ready to be out yet, these events and these gatherings are to show folks they have community and we are here to support you and that can be at any time," said Christina Picciano, a member of the Ossining LGBTQ+ Alliance.
The pride flag raising is just one event in a series of celebrations scheduled throughout Ossining during Pride Month. For more information on these events, click here.
