While gas prices are still high, News 12’s Pump Patrol is finding that prices are slowly starting to decline.
Experts say that while prices are slowly trickling down, they are still way higher than they were a year ago, with experts pointing to the war overseas in Ukraine as one major factor.
Along Broadway in Dobbs Ferry, both the Mobile and Shell stations are coming in at $4.59 for a regular gallon of gas when you pay with cash. These prices are much cheaper than at a gas station in Yonkers where the price was $4.74.
All are above the latest county averages:
  • Westchester - $4.49
  • Rockland -$4.46
  • Putnam -$4.41
According to Gas Buddy, the best prices are in Westchester at the Costco in New Rochelle where it is $3.89. It’s $3.96 at the Mobil in North Salem and $3.99 at the BP in Elmsford.  “I just had a lucky start from my Monday," says Anthony Belli, of Bedford Hills.
