Ray Lennon seeks answers in deadly Hudson River crash that killed his brother last year
The brother of the young man killed last summer on the Hudson, says he needs more information about that night.
Ray Lennon says he believes the barges on the Hudson River used to build the new Tappan Zee Bridge killed his brother, Mark, and bride-to-be Lindsay Stewart during a boat outing in July of 2013.
Jojo John was operating that boat high on alcohol and drugs at the time of the crash. He pled guilty to vehicular manslaughter and was sentenced on Tuesday to two years in the Rockland County Jail.
There is a civil lawsuit still making its way through the courts, which blames the accident on poorly lit barges.
Despite the families' claims that poor lighting was largely to blame for the crash, the New York State Thruway Authority, in charge of building the new bridge, has always maintained the barges were properly lit.
