People in White Plains took the hot and humid Wednesday as a perfect excuse to grab a scoop or two.
Most public pools are still closed before Memorial Day, and some are a little hesitant to spend too much time at indoor public places with air conditioning, so they headed to Ralph's Famous Italian Ices in North White Plains.
There was a nonstop line there all day as people took advantage of the nice weather early before severe storms possibly roll through the Hudson Valley.
Those storms could be in the area later tonight, so News 12 is keeping an eye out for any flooding or damage and so are several state departments.
The DOT and Thruway Authority are both boosting their preparations, readying thousands of tools from dump trucks to tree cutters to assist if necessary.
