The first heat wave of the summer has residents flocking to the beach to cool off.
As temperatures hit above the 90 degree mark again today, hundreds waited in line at Rye Playland for the chance to take in some sun and cool off in the water.
Some beachgoers said the heat was brutal today, but with sunblock, water and umbrellas it was much more manageable.
Temperatures are expected to stay in the 90's for the remainder of the week.
