The Christmas tree for Rockefeller Center made its way from Sullivan to Orange County and made a pit stop overnight in Sloatsburg on Thursday!
The Rockefeller tree began its journey from Vestal, New York to New York City and was spotted by a News 12 viewer, who snapped a picture of the sighting and sent it in to us, mid-day in Chester.
The 43-foot wide, 80-foot tall tree is 12 tons and is expected to arrive in Manhattan by Saturday morning.
The Sloatsburg Fire Department also shared photos of the magnificent, wrapped Norway Spruce at its overnight resting spot at a tandem lot in Sloatsburg, overshadowing in length even their fire truck nearby.

The Rockefeller Center Christmas tree will be adorned this year with more than 50,000 multicolored, energy-efficient LED lights and crowned with a Swarovski star. The tree lighting takes place during the live broadcast "Christmas in Rockefeller Center" on Wednesday, Nov. 29.
It will be on display until Jan. 13, 2024.
