Starting today, residents living in the Village of Rye Brook can start leaf pickup on their property.
The village has provided a set of guidelines for cleanup:
- Leaves should be placed along the center of the curb.
- Rows should not extend more than 2 feet into any roadway and must not be wider than 4 feet.
- Piles should be free of yard debris, including rocks, sticks, and plastic.
- Homeowners are prohibited from placing leaf piles in the street, as it poses a hazard to drivers.
Violations will be issued for non-compliance.
