Two sisters are using their lemonade stand to give back to the community.

Rebecca and Jenna Blum have been a staple at the Chappaqua Farmers Market for more than five years, selling their homemade lemonade.

They are excited to be coming back to the market next weekend after missing out last year due to the pandemic.

All of the money raised from sales are donated to the Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, which raises money for pediatric cancer research.

In 2006, the girls lost their grandfather to brain cancer.

"He always gave back to the community and things, and when he was alive for the lemonade stand, he was really proud of us, so we wanted to continue his legacy," says Jenna Blum.

While the girls were not at the farmers market last year because of the pandemic, they found a creative way to sell lemonade - and lots of it.

They partnered with a food truck and wound up having their biggest year ever - raising nearly $4,000.

"It's been a really amazing process to watch the girls come into their own and really take control and raise so much money for a great cause," says their mother, Holly Blum.
