Business owners across the Hudson Valley are seeking greater protection from the government to help them through the COVID-19 pandemic.
Some are seeking civil liability protection, something only Congress can grant - to help shield them from lawsuits should a COVID-19 outbreak occur in their businesses.
The idea is being championed by the Business Council of Westchester to help business owners.
It’s not clear if Congress will take up this legislation.
Supporters are hoping it could be included in the next stimulus bill, should one be drafted.
