Residents in Newburgh have growing concerns about youth violence after recent incidents in the city.
According to police, almost two dozen kids in the past five months have been involved with violence in Newburgh. Police say this Saturday a 12-year-old boy was stabbed by a 13-year-old boy. Police believe the motive was retaliation over a previous incident. The victim suffered a lacerated kidney and a punctured lung. The suspect was charged with first-degree assault.The spike in violence has residents on edge. Many say they will change their habits in order to stay safe.
