State leaders provide funds for Hudson Valley schools to help homeless students

Several local school districts receive state funds to help homeless students.

More Stories

More than a dozen Hudson Valley schools are getting money to help students who are experiencing homelessness.

Districts in the Westchester BOCES program will get more than $500,000 in state funds for the next three years.

In addition, schools in White Plains, Yonkers, Montgomery, East Ramapo and Newburgh will also receive funds.

The money can be used for tutoring, transportation and learning services at shelters.
