(AP) - The stepfather of a 10-year-old boy killedin an accidental shooting in the Hudson Valley has pleaded guiltyto having the gun illegally. Robert Gooding admitted in Orange County Court on Wednesday thathe brought the 9 mm semiautomatic handgun into his Newburghapartment and that he kept it loaded in a bag. Police say Brandon Scandrett was with his 6- and 8-year-oldstepbrothers and no adults were inside the apartment Aug. 2 when hewas shot. Officials have not said which boy had the gun when itfired.
