One more mainly dry day and then showers dominate the forecast

A chilly Wednesday is on the way with increasing clouds ahead of more showers.

Make sure to have the heavy jackets on tonight and into Wednesday morning as lows dip into the upper 20s and low 30s for most of the area. While the daylight hours on Wednesday should be mostly dry, a few showers will pass through in the late evening.
Thursday will be mostly cloudy and warmer, with a few showers in the evening. There is a small chance for a non-severe isolated thunderstorm Thursday night, but otherwise just a few plain scattered rain showers.
It will stay warm and mostly dry on Friday, ahead of a wet weekend.
While there is room for improvement on Sunday, as of now, the weekend unfortunately has periods of light rain possible both Saturday and Sunday, with highs in the 50s ahead of nicer weather into the middle of next week.
TONIGHT: Mostly clear with a few passing clouds. Colder. Lows near 28 degrees.
WEDNESDAY: A mix of sun and clouds. Most of the day is dry, but there is a chance for a few showers in the evening. Highs around 48 degrees. Lows near 42 degrees.
THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy with a few spotty showers possible. Most of the daylight hours will be more dry than wet. A few scattered showers and a rumble of thunder cannot be ruled out in the evening. Warmer. Highs around 70 degrees. Lows near 57 degrees.
FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy. Highs around 65 degrees. Lows near 46 degrees.
SATURDAY: Mostly cloudy with periods of light rain. Highs around 50 degrees. Lows near 44 degrees.
SUNDAY: Mostly cloudy periods of light rain showers possible. Highs around 62 degrees. Lows near 43 degrees.
MONDAY: Early showers give way to sunshine. Highs around 55 degrees. Lows near 32 degrees.
