Memorial Day's weather will have calmer wind and more sun, but a sea breeze keeps coastal areas chilly

TODAY: Sun to start with afternoon sun and clouds. A rogue spot shower or two can happen late in the day. Highs will be in the lower 70s away from the coast. Coastal areas will have temps near 65 degrees. Winds are brisk from the WNW at 15-25 mph through today. Wind calms tonight with lows near 50. Moderate rip current risk at the coast, especially for Queens and Brooklyn beaches.
TOMORROW: Mostly sunny and beautiful. Calm wind. Sea breezes keep coastal areas cooler with highs in the mid-60s. Areas away from the coast will feel warm under the sun with highs near 72.
TUESDAY: Sun and clouds. Pleasant. Highs in the upper 60s. Lows in the lower 50s.
WEDNESDAY: Sun gives way to building clouds. A storm skirts to the south, producing a fringe of showers in the evening. These showers are very light - borderline sprinkles.
THURSDAY: Mostly cloudy with scattered sprinkles. High temperatures near 70. Lows near 50.
