Westchester Co. Executive Latimer gives coronavirus update

Westchester County Executive George Latimer provided a coronavirus update Wednesday.
As of Tuesday night, Latimer says 37,000 people have been tested, and 10,683 have tested positive. This represents 716 new cases.   A total of 268 people are hospitalized for a percentage of about 2.2% of the positive cases. He says there has been 164 deaths so far in the county.
Latimer says they are suspending the reporting of the number of cases in individual communities, but that the most populous cities have the most cases.
He says that take-out food service has been suspended at all golf courses, and only one golfer can ride in a golf cart at any time.
Latimer urged community members to file for the census at my2020census.gov. He said census calculations will go on until Aug. 15, and noted that the census is hiring temporary workers.
