A new blood test could predict if a patient has Alzheimer’s before they even show symptoms.
A new study in the Journal Jama Neurology says the test screens for one of several proteins that build up in people with the disease.
Currently, testing involves brain scans or spinal taps, which can be hard to access.
The study found the new blood test is just as accurate.
It is only used for research, but experts say it could be available for clinical use soon.
