The Suffolk County Board of Elections is still figuring out how to get unofficial election results posted publicly online.
Since the board's website is still down due to the massive cyberattack, it is working with the state Board of Elections to host a temporary website to tabulate election results.
The commissioners of the Suffolk County BOE said in a statement, "We are still in the testing stages of this temporary site, however we anticipate it will be operational by Election Day, providing public access to election night unofficial results."
They tell News 12 that there is no concern that votes will be impacted.
If the temporary website is not ready by Election Day, the county will report results the way it did before the Internet. That means news outlets and candidates would have to send someone to the Board of Election to get the results in person.
