The month of April is continuing what we saw for temperatures to wrap up March; unseasonably warm with highs near 20 degrees above average. But unlike yesterday, there is a threat of widespread showers and thunderstorms coming our way today in the Hudson Valley.

The record warm low temp for this morning is 54 (2016) and many spots started of the day in the 60s.

Through the day today, rain showers will come and go. There will be some breaks in the clouds, which will allow the sun to shine down and make the air feel a touch muggy. A pop-up storm will be possible in the early afternoon hours, but more widespread storms will be coming around later in the evening. This may impact those gathering for the observation of Passover around sunset.

The wet weather tapers off overnight into Thursday morning, but there will be drizzle and cloudy skies lingering for Thursday. Temperatures, as a result, will be trending cooler all across the region. There will be a drop of around 30 degrees in a 24-hour period!

But, temperatures will start to bounce back for Friday. 60s will be likely across the board, and couple that with a mix of sun and clouds, we will be able to be out and about easily.

There will be rather pleasant conditions for the Yankees Home Opener Friday afternoon in The Bronx.
