Surveillance video shows the moment a driver hits a group of teens playing on their bikes in West Islip, injuring a 13-year-old boy and now his father is searching for the person behind the wheel.

Video shared with News 12 shows the kids on Roderick Road, near Spruce Avenue, just before 8 p.m. on Sunday, according to Suffolk County police.

It appears the car slows down, veers towards the kids, and hits them before coming to a stop and driving off, leaving with one of the bikes still underneath.

You hear the kids screaming in the video.

One of the kids involved, a boy, 13, suffered minor injuries, according to his father.

The incident unfolded in a residential neighborhood around the corner from Oquenock Elementary School.

This morning, one of the bikes still lies in the road.

Suffolk County police said the department is investigating.
