The permits have been pulled from a multimillion-dollar alternative energy project, Taylor Biomass, in Orange County due to environmental and health concerns.
Stephen Reineke, who represents Highview Estates, a company that plans on building 32 single-family homes on a nearby lot, says he would like the proposed location for two smokestacks on the Taylor Biomass property to be moved away from his undeveloped land.
The Taylor Biomass and the Town of Montgomery can appeal the decision to remove the permits.
