Frost Advisory: For Rockland & South Westchester counties until 9 a.m. this morning Temps will get as low as the mid-30s. Frost is likely to form that could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation & animals.

Freeze Warning: For Orange, Putnam & North Westchester counties until 9 a.m. this morning Temps will get as low as the low 30s . Frost will form that will harm sensitive outdoor vegetation & animals.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

High pressure is overhead today, allowing temps to get frosty this morning (frost and freeze alerts are in effect) but will help the temps to warm up later today.
Breezy winds are possible Tuesday afternoon.
An approaching storm system could bring rain and wind to the region starting Wednesday evening into Friday morning. Thursday evening is when the region could be impacted the most.
Gusts could get up to 40 mph, which could toss around Halloween decorations and other loose objects.
Rainfall may lead to localized flood concerns. Coastal impacts are also something to monitor.
Halloween has lingering showers and breezy winds as the system pulls away.
Conditions gradually improve over the weekend.
Daylight Saving Time ends Sunday morning, where the clocks "fall back" at 2 a.m. and we get an extra hour of sleep.
