The 156 sirens for Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant were tested Tuesday, this time with a majority of the sirens working and only a few failing.
In Orange County all 16 sirens sounded during two tests. However, it was a different story in October when 10 of Orange's sirens failed to go off. County spokesperson Steve Gross says success some of the time isn't good enough when it comes to public safety. He says the sirens need to work all the time.
Two back up and one primary siren failed to sound in Rockland. Five sirens also failed during two tests in Westchester.
