The fire broke out near the Jackson Avenue exit around 2 p.m., and crews rushed to the scene.
No one was injured, but the truck was badly burned and still smoking when responders arrived.
Two southbound lanes were closed but have since reopened.
There is no word yet on what caused the fire.
