Ulster County public schools are adopting COVID
guidelines to meet state requirements starting Monday.
The policy is designed to keep students, teachers and staff safe while allowing
kids who are exposed but aren't showing symptoms and test negative to continue
learning in person.
According to state rules, students are allowed to continue learning in the
classroom under the following circumstances:
- The exposure took place in the school while
both students were wearing masks.
- The exposed student remains asymptomatic.
- Is tested a minimum of three times during
the seven-day period following exposure.
