After a two-year hiatus, the Village of Nyack welcomed back Spring Fest.
Roger Cohen, president of the Nyack Chamber of Commerce, says the street fair had over 200 vendors ready to sell a variety of goods like jewelry, crafts and more.
Vendors like Devon Larkins from Docpickle were excited to be back.
"We got out here nice and early," says Larkins.
Rachel Lapidus from Hera Bloom says she missed it.
"I missed seeing people's faces and interacting with customers," says Lapidus.
People like Pam Klein, owner of Tie-Dye Earth, have been looking forward to going back to some form of normalcy after dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.
"It feels a lot more normal," says Klein. "Just back to the way it was pre-pandemic."
For many of the street vendors, the street fair is crucial to their bottom line. It is where they will most of their sales. Without them, it has been a struggle.
Owner of Carol's Custom Birdhouses, Carol Taggart, tells News 12 shoppers rely on their senses when shopping.
"People have to see them, feel them, touch them," explains Taggart.
Lapidus shares the sentiment regarding her candles.
"Smelling them and enjoying the fragrance is something that needs to be in-person," says Lapidus.
