? Suffern officials want to purchase a parking lot at Chestnut Street and Ramapo Avenue near a train station and make it a large commuter parking area.
The project carries a $650,000 price tag for up to 50 parking spaces. Suffern resident Joe Varano says that?s too much money for so few parking spaces. Varano also says he doesn?t want more traffic coming through his neighborhood.
Suffern Mayor John Keegan says it?s all part of progress.
