A lawsuit calling Club Horizen a ?public nuisance? has been filed in an attempt to shut it?s doors permanently.

The lawsuit stems from a personal injury claim against the club, filed by the family of stabbing victim, J.D. Grisby. Grisby is just one of the victims of violence at this popular Spring Valley nightclub.

The latest victim was Don Thompson Junior. He was shot and killed outside the club earlier this month. Now, efforts have heightened to shut down the site where repeat violence and drug related activity have reportedly been taking place.

Club-goers oppose the shut down and say the problem is a simple lack of security. Spring Valley's Mayor George Darden says he has been talking with the club owners and they have agreed to discuss a shut-down, however no agreements have been finalized.
