With Thanksgiving Day just around the corner, Orange County residents answered the call of a local food pantry and came out Tuesday morning to donate turkey dinners for families in need.
?We're just trying to do our little bit,? says Bridget Wallace, of Warwick. ?It's really small, when you think about the great need that's there.?
Wallace was one of hundreds of people who lined up in front of Warwick United Methodist Church, their cars loaded up with food.
Some 40 volunteers are working around the clock to put Thanksgiving baskets together so that 211 families will have everything they need celebrate the holiday Nov. 27.
Pantry volunteers say they have been overwhelmed by the community?s response. After months of slumping donations, the pantry?s shelves are overflowing with food again.
?This has been the most that we've ever, ever had,? says volunteer Michelle Carter.
