News 12 Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Matt Hammer says the Hudson Valley will see showers this morning ahead of a sunny afternoon.
NEW: There is a marginal risk for strong or severe storms overnight into Friday morning that could produce high winds and small hail. Though it is very unlikely, there is a minor tornado threat with any of the storms. Disruptions will be expected for the Hudson Valley area Friday morning as scattered storms could also pose a flood risk for isolated areas.
NEXT: Expecting some showers early tonight then a dry period from midnight to about 2-3 a.m. Then, scattered showers and thunderstorms are likely for Friday morning.
FORECAST:
OVERNIGHT: Mostly cloudy and muggy with scattered showers and thunderstorms developing. Low temperatures will be near 70 degrees.
FRIDAY: Mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the morning. Sunny skies in the afternoon. High temperatures will be in the low-80s. Low temperatures will be in the low-60s.
SATURDAY: Mostly sunny skies and pleasant. High temperatures in the upper-70s.
SUNDAY: Mostly sunny and warmer. High temperatures in the mid-80s.
MONDAY: Mostly sunny and very warm with clouds building in the evening. High temperatures in the upper-80s.
