Thousands of West Point cadets gathered on the military academy's campus last night to celebrate the news of Osama bin Laden's death.
The cadets, captured on amateur video, were seen chanting "USA! USA!" and waving American flags.
West Point Supt. Lt. Gen. David Huntoon took a bullhorn at the celebration, saying, "We should be gathering tonight not to celebrate the death of someone, but to celebrate the lives of our soldiers, sailors and Marines," which led the cadets to cheer.
There are concerns about a possible retaliatory attack staged against the U.S. by either al-Qaida or other terrorist organizations, but the academy said it will not comment about its current security status.
