Cheering crowds headed to the Westchester County Center Saturday night, to watch the fists fly between Westchester County firefighters and police officers.
The first ever "Westchester County Clash" boxing event raised money for the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which honors fallen first responders and military families.
The friendly competition featured 12 firefighters and 12 police officers in various weight divisions. The competitors trained for months in preparation for the big night.
"When you have the finest and the bravest going at it with each other, it's just a beautiful event for everybody. You have to take your hats off to them. The Westchester County Center, the finest and bravest, the first time! It benefits us all," said organizer John Morrison, of the Yonkers Knockouts Boxing Club.
